Our parents or whoever has the most influence on us is our sculptor.
They mold us, they have the biggest influence on who we become... our personality, basically who we are as a person and what direction we are headed personally and in our career.

For me, I was born broke... free lunch at school (but told friends we prepaid since I was embarrassed), waited on line for government milk and cheese in the 80s, public transportation, food stamps, etc...
I didn't have any direction with my career. No one pushed me to go to college or pushed me down a career path or gave me encouragement to do more with my life.
Then my parents died and I started hanging out with the wrong crowd and went down a deep dark hole.
At 21 I was at the lowest point in my life. I was arrested 4 times and had zero direction in life beyond crime.
